Three works for film and TV are currently available related to the concept of the Joint Recon Study Group and the two novels Mission Into Light and the sequel Light's Hand by Steve Hammons.

Steve Hammons
About Steve Hammons
Hammons was born and raised in the Cincinnati area and southwestern Ohio's Indiana-Kentucky border region. He graduated from Ohio University, Athens, in southeastern Ohio’s Appalachian region near the West Virginia border, with a dual major of communication (journalism focus) and health education (psychology focus), and a minor in pre-law. Ohio U. is home to the top-ranked Scripps College of Communication and E.W. Scripps School of Journalism. Hammons completed some graduate-level coursework in guidance counseling theory and method from the Ohio U. College of Education's School of Applied Behavioral Sciences and Educational Leadership. He received orientations to Army Special Forces as an Army officer trainee at Ohio U. and in two summer training activities with Army Special Forces Reserve groups, including a training focus in intelligence. His fact-based fiction books, the novels Mission Into Light and the sequel Light's Hand, were published in 2001. Hammons writes news and analysis articles on a range of topics. He has also been a guest on several radio shows (on-air and online). In his "day job" career, Hammons has worked as an editor-coordinator of publications (paper and digital) for health care providers and consumers. In the behavioral health field he served as a trainer, provider network coordinator, urgent response specialist, assessment and referral coordinator, teacher, neuropsychiatric research assistant, and counselor and staff member in hospital and residential treatment centers. He was a general-assignment journalist for three weekly community newspapers in San Diego where he covered the police beat, public health and safety, Navy and Marine Corps news, Pacific Ocean and beach areas, human interest stories and other topics. He held news media credentials from the San Diego Police Department and U.S. Navy. Hammons also worked as a juvenile probation detention counselor/staff member with California county peace officer status.
